Magnificent property. A grand hotel that's been tastefully upgraded.

The historic element of this landmark hotel.

Staff was kind and property was perfect

Great customer service

It was a horrible experience to stay there. Will never stay there again.

The history and the building itself

Friendly staff!

The renovation is lovely. Decor and updated rooms make it my #1 choice in the city.

property has all the great elements but basic customer service is lacking big time. It doesn’t help that the area is flooded with the homeless and the whacked out people that swarm you at the hotel’s entrance every time. Overall, the area is disgusting.

Absolutely wonderful, terrific bar and lovely indoor pool. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Overall a really nice hotel. Beautiful architecture, location. Friendly staff.

THE Marriott Palace hotel was not a luxury experience. The price was.- as we reserved a suite for our family to visit us there for our 35th anniversary. This hotel kept sending us info by email in do not reply form that changed info between their website and the various prior emails. Food and beverage were non existent.. Pick up carry and go options were awful. The tables in the public area were not wiped down after people ate their take and go breakfasts. We ate elsewhere. I also stayed at the Intercontinental for our first week / Sonoma for our second week in SF0 and they had limited hot food dining options. Covid restrictions were at all locations but the Palace made no effort to provide minimal food options. Staff was absent, Front desk ; hotel operator didn't answer the phone. When the airport check in machine would not print. I asked that it be fixed over night. Got up early and nothing was done. The front desk clerk was chatting up her associates in the back and made me wait 15 min at 6:00 AM. Was really rude about finding someone to fix it. They never did.. Kudos ti the cheerful and helpful bell and door staff, housekeeping in our room was excellent. The beautiful lobby area was not up to snuff on cleaning. This hotel does not have it's act together and told us that it would be sometime ... even though restrictions were lifted 6/15 the day we left. They were just doing a staff session to hire or train. Not prepared at all. Disappointing.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.. GREAT LOCATION, GREAT FOOD

Great old hotel in a perfect location for getting around SF.
