I will be back to stay here again.
I loved the way the hotel is set up from the lobby all the way up to the room. We walked everywhere and didn't need a car as everything was within walking distance. Staff was very responsive and the dj played awesome music during the happy hour and beyond. The restaurant on location served up very good food and it was always full which means the food is great. 2 nights didn't seem like enough time. Should I return, it will be right back to The Alton.

I stayed at the Alton for a girls trip with my daughter. The location is perfect. The hotel is immaculate and fun. They have a free happy hour and a DJ on the weekends. Super quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great. Hotel very clean. Initial misunderstanding cleared up once I was informed about bait and switch on room accommodations conducted by Orbitz.
Our family recently stayed at The Alton while in San Francisco, the location was perfect and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I love their location, so close to many favorite attractions in San Francisco. I found their rates quite decent considering where they’re at. Staff is friendly and helpful and when you ask for things, they’re quite prompt in their response. The place is well kept. I would definitely book there again when I’m back in town.

The Alton was quiet, well managed and clean. Having the Orbitz package that included parking was a real savings. The one downside is limited on-property food choices beyond the restaurant menu. We found the Starbucks and Trader Joe's nearby plus the whole city of restaurants.
Restaurant very limited selection for breakfast but suppers were unique. Service was great at supper time but very slow in the morning
