Wow! What an amazing hidden gem! So glad I found it! Talk about walking back through time! This place was so historical and the decor and photos were so interesting! Definitely!!! I will come back! Definitely go downstairs and have a high ball at the Italian restaurant; oldest in San Francisco 1886!!! Very cool!

Super funky and historic hotel with tons of San Francisco memorabilia from the turn of the century. Be advised that this is a hotel from 1906 and still has all the original appliances and plumbing from a 100 years ago but that is the fun of this place. When can you still go to a toilet with a pull chain! The place is however exceptionally clean with very friendly staff and a very friendly international clientele. Funky and awesome 👍
The staffs were helpful, especially Daniel. the room was small. We found a bed bug on our bed just one day before we left, and my husband got a bite on his face. We got to stay in another room for one night, other than that no refunds make up for it. Terrible!!!

The rooms were small, but comfortable even they didn't have individual bathrooms. The showers were excellent with liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
The San Remo is a unique and wonderful little time capsule. The rooms are clean and fun, and compact. It feels like your inside a ship. The staff was friendly and kindly upgraded me to a room with the sink without my asking. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the communal showers, but it turns out that they are individual and private shower rooms which was fine, and kind of fun.
Location was convenient and we felt safe. Quaint accommodations with friendly staff.
Loved-loved everything about the property. Stayed in the Penthouse and the attention to details was fabulous. Super cozy and comfortable. It was so much fun. The rooftop view was AMAZING. I don't know who is behind taking care of this beautiful place but I LOVE YOU. Thank you for letting us stay with you. We had a ball and would do it again and again. The hotel just made our trip spectacular.

We were amazed at how quiet out was after 10 PM. The room was small, but they thought of everything! Definitely, would return.
This hotel is very unique. It was made in the early 1900's and it feels as though you are going back in time since the furniture, layout, and decorations are from way back in the day. I like everything about it as it was different since i am used to how modern hotels are set up now but this hotel is very unique. I recommend it.
Good: lovely Victorian architecture, furnishings, and bathrooms. Fisherman's wharf and Little Italy are 2-3 blocks away. Trader Joe's and Safeway 1 block away. One of only a few affordable hotels in the entire city. Bad: Tiny bedrooms with no tv, fridge, microwave, or bathrooms. Each floor has shared bathrooms which are cleaned constantly.
