Wonderul stay. Close to Bart station at Powell and Market, cable cars and city transit. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great Hotel, wasn’t sure what to expect, being this was my first time in San Francisco. Great location.

Excellent accomodations. Friendly staff. Club level was a great bonus. Jacuzzi was perfect temperature. Would definitely stay again.

The room was spacious and nice, but there was a lot of noise that got into the room, like the windows were thin. This was a slight problem because this area is pretty heavy with police activity. Then there's the fact that, when we were walking back to the hotel, there was a person on a nearby building threatening to jump to their death. I know these things happen in big cities, but I've never encountered that before. It's not the hotel's fault, but maybe it's location is on the edge of safer areas. On the day we were checking out, there was a man outside of our window on the 9th floor painting. That was unexpected--it would've been nice to know he was going to be there. Also didn't know they were going to try to pitch us on a time share there either. They didn't press it too much once I said no, but that was not appreciated in general. That being said, it was easy to get to good food places and transportation, and places west were safer to be in. The room was big with lots of windows and natural light and storage. The bathroom was pretty standard. There was a game room downstairs and a very small hot tub upstairs through the exercise facility, so there were perks if you were into them. The stay had some good and some bad, but overall it was worth what we paid to stay there.

Liked view an coffee on roof…. Close to walk to everything

The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The accompanying kitchenette was also convenient. The reason for this review rating is the noise from the nearby blaring theater. This was serious environmental pollution and had to be controlled by the city. The noise lasted until almost 1 am. When we asked the hotel, they said there was nothing they could do about it because the City of San Francisco allows it until 2:00 in the morning. The problem was that the windows were not soundproof. How could one sleep with that kind of blast noise? I could not sleep in my room. We chose the hotel we paid to sleep in. We even asked for the quiet side when we checked in, only to be miserable listening to that crazy noise coming from somewhere. There are too many homeless people in the city center. I don't understand why the city of S.F. can't control it better. Anyway, I didn't sleep well and didn't enjoy the trip due to sleep deprivation fatigue the next day. I was also displeased with the Wyndham membership recommended by the concierge at check-in. I would recommend this hotel if it weren't for the noise that continued past midnight like that. Location is good.

First time staying here and absolutely loved it. Pam the concierge was so sweet and welcoming. Perfect spot near everything.

It was in the middle of everything. Very convenient, and very clean!

Excellent staff

Excellent location, safe and convenient near shopping, restaurants and cable car line. Very nice rooms and common areas except for the bar which was awful- they have a nice view to the lobby which they inexplicably ruin by closing a huge curtain at night so you are in this small, claustrophobic space staring at a curtain 4 feet away.

The Donatello is the most excellent hotel we stayed around Union Square after stayed at others around area over the years. Good-size rooms, bigger desk, sofa bed, rooftop (indoor/outdoor) club lounge, and friendly staffs. The money-wise hotel in the Union Square area.

Staff were very helpful and nice

We really enjoyed our stay. Large rooms and very clean

Spacious rooms, great staff Very friendly.

Such a great spot - really nice rooms, close to Union Square, great views, and hot chocolate on the rooftop every morning! Can't beat that!

I liked that a couple of days before the trip I was texted. I was able to ask any questions and let them know when I was arriving. Since I was coming in early they had a room available for me. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Every time we left we were told goodbye and every time that we walked back through the door we were welcomed back. The room was clean, and I liked that it included a A little kitchenette, with a sink, refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave And dishes. I would definitely recommend and stay again
