Overall, the staff was friendly. My poor rating for staff was my checkin experience. I tried to checkin at 3pm and the staff member curtly replied “checkin is at 4pm.” That’s all he said so I asked if I needed to come back at 4pm. He simply responded “Yes. Checkin is at 4”. His brevity and coldness was really off putting. I’ve been to many hotels where the staff is friendly and empathetic. In many cases, I’ve had staff look for the availability of a prepared room.

Everything was outdated, old, there was a loud noise coming from old plumping from really early in the morning. The hotel was clean and the lobby is nice, the dining area was spacious. But the rooms are really old, the beds are uncomfortable and worn out. I love Embassy suites, but this hotel in particular needs to be updated.

Ventilation problem, otherwise good place to stay
Not good for people with asthma. My son developed a “barking” cough (like a seal) within a few minutes of entering the room. He did not have a cough during our visit to Universal Studios the next day. When we returned that night, he had an asthma attack in the middle of the night. Called front desk two separate times and no answer. Hairdryer was sticky and looked dirty. I liked the free snacks and drinks for happy hour. Free continental breakfast. Quick drive to Universal Studios.
