Great location and roof top bar was a cool place to hang out with friends
Beautiful and good service but they put me on 6th floor. 7th floor is the bar/pool/restaurant. Really loud noises above in ceiling! Crazy loud. The lobby layout is super confusing. To get to elevators you walk thru middle of restaurant. Dodging waiters with your luggage. Also front door to property is a pain. No one understands the layout.
Beautiful hotel - our family stayed for 8 days and the service was excellent. My son loved swimming on the 7th floor. The pool was perfect. I'm a morning coffee person, so the coffee was excellent. It's not a cheap place to stay, but definitely worth staying. We never dined at the hotel because I really wanted to experience exploring different food place and we were always out. The only thing that was negative was the room was slightly warm and that is because the State of California energy code has mandated on all new commercial buildings thermostats to be between 71-75 degrees for hotel rooms. We valet our rented car - the valet service and the people were great. Before we left, they gave my us these amazing donuts and a beautiful thank you card. First class hotel and service. A must stay hotel if you are planning a vacation. Thank you Santa Monica Proper Hotel. We will be back.
