The staffing females only were all very rude it got to a point where we talked to a manager to address the issue, the only nice lady was the housekeeper
This was our first family trip to Mexico, so we came with no expectations. The Barceló Maya Palace was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The ocean view and beach were beautiful! We were able to swim off of the beach and see sea turtles which was a treat. The food at the Palace buffets was better than the other resorts on the property, apart from the AO. However, we would give the food a 5/10. It was our major disappointment from the trip and we wouldn’t go back because of this. While the selection was vast, so many of the food choices were subpar. It reminded me of eating at a school cafeteria. The restaurants were better but it was nearly impossible to get reservations. I had to wake up very early to stand in line for an hour to get one. Overall, the staff and property grounds were positives though.
Customer service was excellent, grounds were nice.

We loved all the options for dinner, pools, and drinks. The service was excellent everywhere we went.
Second time at this resort. Great place to stay!

I know i will never come back here, this place sucks, on all levels, room are way to far from anything, expect to walk miles to get anywhere. Rooms are not at all special either, the beach is very rocky and surprisingly dirty. Very disappointing, oh dont even ask about the food. Over all it is over rated. Not worth the money. Forgot to mention its a 2 hours drive from the airport. They say its an hour and 20 minutes, well thats a lie, it took us almost 2 hours without any traffic or stopping.
The resort is huge, it has every thing I need for a vacation. The staff is very nice and respectful but they need to speak more English. The room was gorgeous, big and clean I didn't like the food at the buffet was not good, the variety of food is not much and the food quality was not good. Food at the restaurant was very good
