Free parking, good location north of the strip
I enjoyed this hotel, although it is certainly not typical Las Vegas. It is quiet and off the strip. The decor is unusual... I was told by two people that it was built for Chinese tourists and went bust... so it is now more of a general tourist hotel. Having traveled to China, I can say it is very Chinese decor. But... very clean, quiet, and attentive staff. No casino... which is fine for me. I'd go again for the quiet.

Loved staying at the Ahern Hotel. Our only concern was the 2 women working cafe in the parking building on the morning of December 4, 2023. One had a crazy cough, and the other a moderate cough and a lot of attitude. At the least, they should have been wearing masks. Better, they should not have been working in food service.
I stayed in early November. It is a great hotel if you plan to be woken up at 2am each night. I was on second floor and had nothing to do with outside noise. It was the rooms on either side of me. The people in each room coming back at 2am were having lively conversations. In a normal hotel, it would have been muddled, it truly wasn't the hotel guests fault. I could tell they were just talking and wherever they may have been late, just having ending conversation. I could literally hear almost every word. I do not recommend on this. However, it is a really clean, nice room hotel. it IS in a very seedy area. I walked to the strip during the late afternoon, and OK. coming back, I wouldn't recommend except door to door taxi, lyft/uber, etc. I would not stay here again. Pool is a SO SMALL. It is not a luxury hotel at all. For vegas, you should expect a pool that is nice to lounge and hang out. Get room service, etc. None of that. Even for a business traveler and event stays because of the events there... I wouldn't recommend if you need sleep. Just normal conversations come straight through the walls. If I had an event there I was attending or leading, I would choose to stay at Circus Circus or another hotel around the corner.
Views were great, no casino so it didn't smell like a used ashtray like many other hotels on the strip. I wish the listing mentioned a mini fridge was included. A small microwave would have made the room perfect.
The hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and pleasant. the rooms were spacious. Mattress comfortable. There was a good sized fridge. The parking was ample and convenient. The price could not be beat. The area around the hotel isn’t the fun/exciting LV strip though. I was somewhat skeptical when arriving there but once I entered the hotel I was impressed. Would recommend
