We had a wonderful stay and our room was beautiful and newly renovated. They have an adults only pool which was a huge plus. Our only quibble was the lack of restaurant options, there was only one open one during our stay. Unfortunately there are no other restaurant or store options outside the resort that you can walk to. Otherwise it’s a beautiful resort with a very attentive staff.

The property is beautiful, the staff were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, we were there a full week. It’s very convenient to Kona, shopping and they have great amenities on property including guest laundry rooms. They are undergoing renovations, but none of it inconvenienced us at all. A few tips - try to stay on the 2nd or 4th floor, that is where things are like the laundry room, gift shop, etc. We stayed on the third floor and constantly were jumping floors to get to everything. The Voyager club breakfast and snacks for an extra $100/day was not worth it unless you are a large family. It’s fruit, basic breads and muffins, eggs, meat and potatoes. We felt obligated to eat there because we paid extra and there are better breakfasts in town. The pools are amazing, the grounds are beautiful and watching the Manta Rays is a blast. The rooms are okay - our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was very dated but as noted they are renovating big sections of the hotel including the rooms so I expect that will change over the next few months. All said, would recommend this as a great place to stay.

The property was in a beautiful location. Furthermore, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We have a great time.

Property is awesome, unfortunately there was construction and without warning the elevator was out of service.

The area hotel surrounding is very pleasant.

Plumbing is ancient. Do NOT stay on the second floor. Water from shower and sinks go directly into storm drains. When there is any rain, the drains back up. YUCK. Ecologically backward.

our airline United had problems with ua253 flight was cancelled and reshedule for 530pm so we missed the hotel stay

The property was beautiful. The restaurant and store on site were overly expensive. There were significant signs of water damage in our hotel room. The carpet and style in the hotel room was dated. If you pay for a room and pay a resort fee of $30/day you shouldn't have to pay $25/day for one parking spot. Seems like everyone there is interested in taking a premium from people for nothing.

The beds are horrible. I’m a health person with no back problems and this thing killed me. They did try to help us though so it’s not like the wrote us off. The resort needs some serious updating.

I liked that the staff were friendly and kept checking to see how our stay was. The room was accommodating and comfortable. It had everything we needed.

Outrigger managing the property is 1000 times better than the Sheraton. The Sheraton was too staid.

Check in wasn’t pleasant as expected. Woman at counter wasn’t friendly as you’d expect from a place which good ratings. Overall the experience was a bit underwhelming. Luckilly, my wife and I are pretty easy going so we made the best of it. Undecided if we’ll come back or recommend to friends and family.

The $30/day extra for 15 minutes of hula and lei lessons was gauging. Meals at the restaurant were very good but way overpriced

absolutely terrible to stay this hotel. I have been traveling over 30 different countries, stayed $10 back pakker to $700 nice room. this $400/night (room resort fee parking tax) is worst place to stay. this was trip for treating my mother from first night, it was nightmare. We actually stayed here when it was sheraton we didn't like it, hotel is so old, my mom stucked in the eleveter about 20 min etc, so when we arrived we were so dissapointed it is same hote as before. anyway, this $400/night room we stayed 4 nights and we had problem with hot water EVERYNIGHT. the mentenance guys asked us to run the water and hot water will come. we waited an hour, NO hot water. they changed our room and we had same problem so night 3, we needed go to another room to take shower. like really? this is not $50 hotel in middle of desert (well actually we stayed hotel in middle of sahara desert, it was way better than this hotel.) again hotel is so old, bathroom has crack every where. If you want to have nice exprience in Hawaii, do not stay here. I asked the manager if you can do something room charge but since i booked with orbitz, she asked me to ask orbita which i am ding right now. also hotel staffs are not really have aloha spirit compire with other hotels in Hawaii.

The hotel is nice bathroom needs a remodel. The shower did not function properly and needed replaced.

Mela, housekeeper was friendly and really went the extra step to ensure we were taken care of. The staff were all friendly and approachable. The breakfast set up was the only strange set up as it was confusing and vastly understaffed. Even so, the staff members were still calm and friendly.
