This was definitely a disappointing experience. I was sold on the pictures but then got a room that was smaller than my bedroom. There are multiple mansions and apparently we got the red building. No fridge, no amenities. Windows are original so expect to hear all outside noise. For the price we paid we should have stayed at a Westin and not regretted a single penny.
Had to carry bags to attic room up to 3 rd floor on steep staircases. No staff but a rude young girl at check in
Services are minimal. Elevator gets stuck so you have to carry luggage up the grand staircase. Food I left outside my door the night before was still there when I returned to the room the following evening.
Ample parking and close walking to shadyside shopping.
We were very pleased with our experience at Mansions on Fifth- from the lovely atmosphere, convenient location, and warm staff- we could not have asked for a better time away!
Spectacular hotel. It's like spending the night in a fantasy in which you are a steel magnate during the early 1900s. Beautiful neighborhood...great for early morning and evening walks.
Suite we stayed in had enough room for 4 people. Location is perfect, not to far from downtown, about 5 miles drive.
