Picked this property for the location and close vicinity to Lake Eola. It's a beautiful area and the property's location is great. I booked a Balcony suite with lake view to surprise hubby for his birthday trip. We arrived early and the room was not ready. No problem, we were ok to take a walk around the lake while we waited for our room. The front desk agent did a pre-check-in and took my phone number and told us he would text or call as as soon as our room was ready and said it wouldn't be too long. However, I never received a call or text, so we went back about 4 hours later to see what was going on. We were told our room was ready and apparently the staff forgot to call/text, so that was annoying. Went to our room and our "lake view" was pretty much non-existent due to trees and buildings blocking the view. For the amount of money we paid, it was a pretty disappointing experience.

Very nice hotel, but horrible front desk staff, a.
We didn’t find out that parking was ACROSS THE STREET until we arrived for our stay, at which point we were ALSO told that the parking FEE was $22 per night. Front desk staff on arrival were inept and completely uncaring at best. The culinary staff and bar staff were exceptional, as was the breakfast every morning. The room was equally nice. We were there for the Disturbed concert at the Kia Center, and chose this hotel due to the distance from the venue, but downtown Orlando is not the place that my wife was willing to walk through near midnight, so we drove. The next concert at the venue will find us staying somewhere else. That really is a shame because the hotel itself was great EXCEPT for the experience of checking in.

In town for a concert with my teen daughter and friends. Felt safe walking to and from the Kia center. The hotel is in a great location with parking across the street. They have complimentary cocktail hour and a wonderful free breakfast. Rooms weee clean and spacious.
