Away from Waikiki, nice beach and old Hawai’i feel …

We liked the room and the ocean view, dinning, and the location . We did not like strong musty odor from AC unit and other guest's smoking on the balcony below us due to smoke was coming into our room . Also , had to call 3 times for some items to be delivered to us.

The view that hotel has is amazing ,the hotel is old so you hear all your neighbors around..However you have the Ocean in front the host at the restaurant are wonderful and the guy the Hawaiian young men is amazing…However the front desk guy (Brent) was extremely rude..I dont know why is working there

You pay for what you get and you will pay a lot for the Kaimana Beach Hotel. That's not a complaint. This is South Waikiki Beach and the hotel literally sits on the sand. We paid extra for the premium Full Ocean view. From our 6th floor room we could see the beach, setting sun, Honolulu skyline, and the fireworks on Friday night. There is limited valet parking and the single attendant who was running his tail off almost every time we saw him. The onsite restaurant had very good food but it was expensive. Over $140.00 and salmon and chicken breast and no alcohol. Near the Zoo, just a little over a mile away, is a very nice Denny's.

Loved it

Not only did the common areas smell of urine but also our room. Multiple errors in our food order at the Hau Tree.

Friendly staff and willingness to assist you to get around the island is incredible. Skip the restaurant unless you getting cocktails only. We order oysters and got “mini version” but normal price.

This hotel is a great choice for a more quiet beach getaway. Who needs a pool when you have the beautiful Kaimana beach at your doorstep?!?! I highly recommend for people seeking a relaxed Waikiki vibe and for true beach loving folk. The service was excellent! We had brunch and dinner at the Hau Tree and it was beyond delicious. Our view was unparalleled! Waking up to our ocean view, spending the mornings and evenings on the lanai was one of the highlights. We also enjoyed nearby activities like hiking Diamond Head and enjoying the Saturday morning KCC farmers market right there. Haaheo the General Manager is the best! Huge shout out to their housekeeping team, especially Bing. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Our experience at the Kaimana Beach Hotel was excellent. The view from our room was fantastic and perfect for watching sunsets. The hotel is conveniently located and a short walk to Waikiki Beach, and if up for a longer walk, it is possible to walk to the Diamond Head Trail hike. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Ohau.

I like the fact that property was located right on beach & front desk was very friendly & helpful. The rooms could use a little updating & wished that they were bigger, & wished that the beach chairs were actually chairs but I would definitely stay again for sure

Staff was very nice. Hau Tree Bar had great vibe but very expensive drinks. Room was very outdated. Originally assigned a room right outside a very noisy service elevator. The room had 2 twin beds & broken mini fridge that made a buzzing sound every 5 minutes. They kindly reassigned me to a new room with a "king bed" which was actually 2 twins beds pushed together. It had king sized bedding on it but you could certainly feel the crack down the middle. Neither of the rooms had hair dryer or coffee maker, so be advised . It would have been nice if the hotel offered free coffee in the morning to their guests. Beach access was the BEST aspect about staying at this hotel. Kaimana Beach is my favorite beach in Waikiki.

Aloha Mayela,Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am so happy to see that you enjoyed our lovely beach front view! being only 1 of 9 beachfront properties in Waikiki, we thank you so much for choosing to stay with us. I am sorry to hear about your experience with Brent. This is odd as Brent is one of our high energy, loves to impress guests, front desk agent. If you would like to give us a call so we can discuss what happened, I would love an opportunity to speak with you. I hope you have a great day and thank you again for choosing Kaimana Beach Hotel. Mahalo,Chris
