Nice hotel very convenient to I-40. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the shower/bathroom was set up nicely. I would improve the coffee service though. Those little Styrofoam cups are very small and don't travel well. Coffee setup in room was not so good either. Altogether though, it's a nice hotel, but they don't give have very good coffee.

DO NOT believe the pictures that Orbitz has on their site. The rooms look nothing like them. The entire hotel is falling apart. I got in very late (11:30pm) after a long day of driving and, in my room, the walls were cracking and peeling and scratched and stained. Every single lampshade was stained and broken. Every piece of furniture was scratched, stained, dented, and downright dirty. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet even had a chunk missing out of it. Every surface (tables, nightstands, desk, etc) was filthy and definitely hadn’t been wiped down at all. They were sticky and gross. The sheets in the beds were stained and there was a pubic hair in one of the beds. Oh, and the view from my room was a homeless person’s camp. When I called the front desk they angrily told me I could just come down in the morning and ask for a refund and hung up on me. I spent hours talking to Orbitz trying to get them to make it right and they said there was nothing they could do, even though their site is the one that misrepresented what the hotel’s condition was. When I booked a month prior it had a 4 out of five rating. When I got there and saw how bad it was, I pulled up Orbitz and it was now a 2.5 out of 5. I never would have booked if that’s what it had shown when I booked. I will not be using Orbitz again after this. Their customer service was terrible and I could never trust that their listings are honest again.

This hotel tried to be accessible but there is no shower control low down. It has old style furniture. It has only one working elevator that creaks and groans.

The front desk staff were inconsistent in their customer service. The young man with glasses was very nice and helpful. But the older man was rude and never greeted us, ever. He was always sitting in the side room doing nothing. The breakfast lady was very nice.
I stayed here twice recently while my father was in the hospital near the hotel. The hotel is clean, though the rooms at some point have had smokers in them-a faint odor still remains from that. Facilities are showing signs of age-things like scrapes and a dresser drawer that would not stayed closed. Breakfast was fine except some items like the sausage gravy never seemed very hot-not good on a food safely level. Stayed the second time because in spite of the negatives the price was good and location excellent for our needs.

Room was spacious, TV was bigger than most hotels provide, and bed was comfortable. Check-In was quick and it took less than 5 minutes to get to Hanes Mall. Pillows were small but comfortable. Starting around 9am there was a lot of hallway noise (doors slamming). This got progressively worse until we checked out @ 11am. Would stay here again in the future.
