Love staying at Owens. Always clean and the most friendly people. Only suggestion would be to add some lighting around the ice machine.
The address and the picture shown is not where our room was. Our room was across a busy street and down a bit. The reason I booked this room is because I thought kids could walk back and forth to beach by themselves. Pure deception. I could have gotten a better room for less had I known it wasn't ocean front.
Hotel room needs good repair,update everything;some bugs were inside.Don’t recommend this hotel.
We loved our stay! We have two toddler boys ( 3 years old and 16 months old). We booked a double bed. We used a pack n play for our 16 month old. I will say that it was a tight fit with all of our luggage/pack n play/beach wagon, Ect. With that being said, my Husband and I are not picky about the rooms that we stay in, we look for rooms closest to the beach. This location was PERFECT! We could walk out of our room, down the parking lot, and walk right out onto the beach. Also, staff was super helpful! Everyone there was so kind and helpful! We will definitely be staying there again!
We stayed here to go on a fishing trip. Motel was perfect for our stay. Close to the Oregon Inlet. Plenty of food places around.
I've never been to the outer banks, nice place. But the hotel, WAS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD IT WAS, THE ROOM EITHER. ICE MACHINE BROKE, NO KITCHENETTE, VERY SMALL FOR 2 PEOPLE.
Old hotel with old amenities. Only half of the rooms are right in the beach. The other half is across the street. It wasn’t a big deal, but you may not actually be oceanfront. Staff was nice. Beds were ok. Room was ok, nothing great …. The location was perfect for exploring The Outer Banks. Decent place for the price. I’d stay again

The best location in Nags Head! This is within walking distance to Jeanette's pier, several restaurants, a park, and a convenience store.
The motel had friendly staff, was clean and we got a good rate. I would stay there again.
The room smelt of mold and the staff was very rude.
Close proximity to a fishing pier. Showers could have been better.
Everything was good at Owens except the pool area. Rooms were good. Restaurant and Bar were good. The pool area didn't have enough chairs and no shade or protection from the sun. There are 3 small but heavy wooden tables with umbrellas. The umbrellas are a sheer weave so the sun comes pouring through. Owens could/should invest in large solid vinyl umbrellas instead. Also, there are some heavy wooden chairs but not enough. Owens could get some of the inexpensive white plastic chairs which would help.
Dissappinted. Old motel that is in definite need of an update. The bottom of the tub was painted which peeled more and more during each shower. Will not be staying there again.
Easy after hours check-in. Just needed a quick place to stay for a couple days of fishing. It served it's purpose nicely. Will be returning next time I'm in obx!
While not a high end establishment, this is a great hotel. The staff is friendly & helpful. The location is very convenient to the beach & Jennette's Pier. The room & bathroom were very clean. The restaurant was excellent. Fast friendly service & the food was so good!

I'm sorry you were deceived, we do have 4 separate buildings located on both sides of the beach road and each room type has different pricing to reflect the distance to the beach. Thank you for the review.
