Property was not in a safe neighborhood and my employee was uncomfortable staying the night there. She went to another hotel and didn't check in.
room nice. desk clerk nice. Trashy exterior and parking area.
There is no vacuuming done in the room and wiping down of the bath area or sink. Someone’s hair on the sink counter top where the coffee pot is kept. It was out of place. The door was hard to lock. The facility was not worth paying $99/night
My rooms had a stench of mold. The door’s threshold had a 1/2” gap (bugs!) and the lock didn’t seem very secure.
The property definitely could have used some cleanup. The outside grounds had old mattresses stacked up but I've been removed from rooms. Very disappointed in the overall appearance.
This is nothing more than an expensive MOTEL. I paid $150 for a night and it is not worth it. Breakfast sucks. They don’t even have enough tables for people to sit. Don’t let them fool you with the pictures. It is nothing like they show.
This hotel was so dirty my wife and I physically got sick. It was late when we got in and had to be moved to another room. The whole experience was just horrible. I tried to get my money back but they said I would have to call Orbitz and go thru the whole process. I would not list this motel if you want to keep customers.

Carpet and love seat very dirty. Commode was very loose. Accident waiting to happen.
The room was dirty!! Towels were wet, the beds were not done nicely like in the pics, tub stained, will never stay at that particular hotel, more like a motel... I should off taken pics to upload them in here.
Very dirty room. I'll NEVER stay here again. A cigarette was laying on the iron rack. The coffee maker still had a used coffee filter in it.
TV did not work, sink had hair in it...and was not cleaned for 3 days, bathroom never cleaned - dirty, gross, mildew, hair, soap scum...roaches in room, bed not made after first night, breakfast was leftovers and stayed out throughout the day, stale cereal, not enough plates and bowls, bathroom in lobby broken - no way to wash hands. I cleaned the bathroom and sink before I used it. Total lack of customer service. I want a refund. Talk to manager, he left a note after he came and witnessed the room.
The staff has lost touch with reality they see invisible animals, and stole $60 from my daughter and myself. I will never stay in another Howard Johnson due to the incredibly poor experience I had at this hotel.
The room was sufficiently comfortable not much in thrills. Bathroom needed a little updating, small hole in bathroom door and tub was really bad shape. But they are in renovating stage it appears. Fairly close to everything downtown (drivable). Staff was pleasant. Like it says you get what you pay for.

Great location. Close to downtown Wilmington and the beach. When we checked in everything was good but our room had no service for wifi, the morning we woke up for breakfast and it was not breakfast due to renovation but no one told us about it so it was a bad surprise. I left the hotel pretty upset as we didn't get any compensation for the lack of wifi and breakfast even though we paid for it.
