when first arriving the rooms ac/heat unit was falling apart and the hot water valve in the shower did not work , the front desk person came down right away looked at it and moved me to an even nicer room right away no hassle this room was clean , bigger and very nice

Reeds is a historic stay just celebrating their 75th year. Each room was made up with a different theme year and were very comfortable. This is not your bland hotel. Lots of character, great staff and extremely convenient. The only drawback is the town Springerville rolls up its sidewalks on Saturday night and re-opens on Tuesday. There were places to eat but the museum and many shops closed Sun and Mon. We would definitely stay there again should the need require.

75 year old Motor Lodge getting a facelift!

Reed Lodge was a very cozy and comfortable motor lodge. Our room was in the back so we were not at all bothered by any Main Street road traffic noise. The other patrons were friendly to visit with in the continental breakfast area. Breakfast was as more than adequate with hot drink choices, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits, bagels and juice drinks. The area was clean. Older motor lodge with great local ambience and very friendly staff. Rooms are being updated. Ours was not updated yet, but beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well with a split unit in the interior. The double queen bedroom was very large. One concern: the bathroom window was not lock secured so I had to wedge a wooden dowel into the sliding window. We were on the first floor. Overall, a very nice stay for the price.

Everything was great. It is a small mountain town and it's on the main road so lots of big trucks but was a great stay. Very clean wonderful staff. Really.cute room.

There happened to be an annual festival that weekend. We ended up going there to eat a home-smoked BBQ dinner, had a blast dancing to the live music, and nosh on homemade fudge! Will have to plan to stay the whole weekend next year! Oh, on our way home rode the sunrise park resort's new forest mountain roller coaster. What a blast!

4 night stay

The service that we received was very professional and kind which was a very good part of our stay. The hostess recommended a bunch of different restaurants and various activities that we could do while we were in town. Also, she clearly stated all of the relative policy information that we needed to know - including the continental breakfast time. However, the hotel was one of the unrenovated models and it was very outdated. The WIFI network never showed up, so we were never able to sign in on our streaming platforms during our stay - instead we had to use our phone data and watch it on our phones. Also, the bed was extremely uncomfortable - it gave us pretty bad back pain which was surprising. We had to move the mattress to the floor, which helped the situation. Also we found a hair in the sheets, but that was the only thing that was wrong cleanliness-wise. The AC worked pretty good, it just made the room humid. Lastly, the continental breakfast was very basic and was mainly comprised of packaged goods and a limited beverage selection. Overall, it was a decent stay if you just need a room and don’t really care about the amenities or luxuries that a normal hotel brings. Except the customer service from the hostess was amazing and I would like to definitely make that clear! Overall 6.5/10
