Recently stayed at this hotel while visiting for the Polar Express experience, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They dipped at the ends, forcing you to sleep sideways for any back support, which was even worse when sharing the queen bed. We woke up exhausted every morning from tossing and turning. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom, urine stains on the back of the toilet lid, and dust on the lamps in the room. One light in the entrance of our room didn’t work, and we even found two spiders. One of the spiders caused a major scare when my 5-year-old screamed while using the bathroom. I had to barge in to help because they were so frightened. It was an unpleasant situation that only added to the poor impression. Additionally, the TV guide card in one of our rooms was sticky and dirty, which could have easily been replaced. We appreciated the convenience of having a dining option in the hotel, but the experience was disappointing. We found hair in our food while dining. We made the server aware, and they discounted our meal, which was appreciated, but it still added to the overall dissatisfaction of our stay. The saving grace of our stay was the front desk staff. They were incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. We required an ADA-accessible room that connected to our children’s room, and they went above and beyond to assist us. Even helping us move rooms smoothly.

What we liked most was the curtious nature of all the staff. Beds were soft and warm towels fluffy and clean. The grounds were dressed for the holiday season. Very nice. Fireplace very inviting and warm. Proximity to Williams was just right. We also did the train ride. Ride the bubble car. Highly recommended. Our host, Ashley, very curious fun and knowledgeable. Overall. Our visit to Williams and stay n play at the Grand Canyon Railroad Hotel was outstanding.

It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and having the train station right there was perfect. Restaurants and shopping were easily accessible.

“Onsite” Laundry
Don’t be fooled. Chose this facility for this onsite laundry. They informed me there was a shuttle to the laundry facility the next day starting at 9am. The property is multiple city blocks and they laundry is technically on their properly, but not the convenience I expected after a weeks worth of travel. Wanted to be able to move between my room and laundry. Very family oriented- everyone was walking around in their matching PJs. Restaurant was average.

Overall very good. The buffet at the onsite restaurant (the only onsite option) seemed overpriced for what was being offered - $30 for a pretty limited selection.

Beautiful lobby and rooms look newly updated. Indoor pool and hot tub was nice but could use some new tiles. Anna's cafe downtown had good breakfast. We missed the train rides but would definitely return.
