Staff at check in/out were nice as was the housekeeping staff. The pool was down for maintenance (didn't know that until check-in), and the breakfast options were limited (no waffle batter, no bread for toast, water was only available in the gym). Shampoo and conditioner were good, nice linens/towels as well. Convenient for our tour at ECU.
The water had to heat up in the morning and when it did it was Luke warm won’t stay there ever again

We stayed one night for drop off at the college with my daughter. Which just signed a 4 yr agreement. Sad to stay I will NOT be giving you any more of my business and will be letting any and everyone I come in contact with about my Experience with your hotel. We stayed one night and overslept the next morning and made a deal with the manage that we would be out in 20 mins after him knocking on our door. We packed up and we’re out in those 20 mins but we’re also charged for another night ($100) and still had to leave. Of course I didn’t see the charges until we returned home and it was to late. Yes we were in the wrong we stayed over our time limit. I just had no idea that the would charge me for another whole nights stay after making a deal with the manager. Sad bc you could’ve gotta a lot of business through us and hundreds of parents that will be attending ECU for the next 4 years and now you WONT. Shame on you. But I will promise to put the word out there about your manager and the fact that you can charge a credit card like that.
The room had no door knob on the bathroom. The manager was aware of it and said nothing until I called. I was charged a $250 deposit for having the same city address despite telling the front desk I had moved away.
It was unique because you pay a high price for a horrible, empty breakfast.

First off let me start off by apologizing that your hotel experience did not meet your expectations. Due to policy here at our hotel our check out time is at 11AM and we sometimes offer a grace period until 12PM. As a courtesy we extended until 1PM, however anything after that garners a late checkout fee. The fee that was charge was our standard late checkout fee and was not an additional night as our rates are based on the demand of the hotel. We hope this does not keep you from staying at Marriott Brands in the future.
