We read reviews to select a hotel property and ended up staying here. I was disappointed. The hotel is clearly one that has been purchased and renovated, but I wouldn’t say the renovations were done well. There were lots of paint splatters and poorly finished tile work. It was an A for effort but a C in execution. The hotel looks nice at first glance, but when you really start looking, you see past the facade to the poorly executed finishes.
I didn’t love the concert nearby that kept us up all night, and while not the hotel’s fault, the sound proofing is something to keep in mind.
Also, the towels were tiny…. Not a body towel unless you’re a toddler. Breakfast was very disappointing and the single employee stationed in the breakfast area looked so overwhelmed trying to keep up. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, and while the food was promising, the service was not great. Like we were injured by a patio umbrella and the staff was more concerned about collecting the umbrella pieces than checking on their customers that were covered in food and drinks.
In general, if we had paid $75-90 a night, I’d probably be pretty happy. But since this hotel was a $120 a night hotel, I wasn’t happy. The finished need more work, and the experience could use a bit more thought.
