Pretty good... It's an older Hampton. Happened to stay on a weekend where there was a kids soccer tournament so the breakfast area in the morning was chaos. Sink in bathroom didn't drain
The only thing was the quality of the breakfast. The eggs were too dry, the cheese omelette seemed to be fake cheese, and they kept running out of apple juice.
Early check - in major plus - I asked for help with the heat/ac in the room- no one every came- the tolilet had a piece of stool in the bottom of it- it was there prior to me and would not flush down- the microwave which I used to make popcorn- was not in new condition and cooked very uneven- I paid 167 a night and honestly did not receive the service I expect from the Hampton Inn chain. I figure my next trip to Villanova I will be staying at another hotel. I would like an answer to why I should stay there again

This hotel is actually pretty nice- with two exceptions. The pillow were horrendous- just over-soft and really lumpy! I had a hard time sleeping on them. Second, there was something wrong with the toilet in room 414. It took a good 5-10 minutes to refill. Otherwise, all was good.
Have stayed here many times and never had a problem. Was not happy this time. Smelled like smoke. Toilet wasn’t working properly. Not very consistent and prices keep going up.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Always a smile on someone’s face. Price was more than tripled because of family weekend at school but everywhere did it too.
The AC kept cycling on and off. There was no way to keep the fan on constant.
They asked me to schedule room cleaning service and then they didn't do it.
Easy check in. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about.
General area was safe with convenient access to 276 /76. Had a lot of dining options as well on nearby Ridge Pike. I drove into Philly, which was a bit of trek, but certainly doable. Pluses included easy parking and a friendly staff. Less positive, the bedding could be updated, with newer bedding and more comfortable pillows. Also, for cleanliness, everything was generally clean but not spotlessly clean as one would hope. Lastly, for purposes of quiet, the walls could be a bit thicker (weren't paper thin either), but myself as a sound sleeper didn't have any major issues. I'd say overall a good value and convenient, but certainly falls just a hair shot of excellent.
The toilet clogged and then the flapper did not seal and there was water all over the floor.
