Great location but definitely not ideal for light sleepers. Any noise in the hallway is quite audible in the room. Folks just closing their doors near your room is very noticeable. My husband and I were woken up every morning to folks leaving their rooms around 7. Other than that, the rooms are pretty big for Manhattan and the location is so convenient for the subway.

Coffee should be free. The market was way too slow in the mornings. They should expidite the process--more grab and go, self checkout with key, etc. Housekeeping was great--friendly and efficient. Great location!

Perfect for our thanksgiving needs
This is a relatively good hotel. However, for being a Hyatt and also an expensive place, I was surprised that no coffee maker was placed at the room. Only after asking for it, they deliver it. This type of details made the stay annoying. I am not sure if this is now Hyatt policy of not adding coffee makers to their room, or it is specifically for this branch.
the staff was very nice and do put in a lot of effort, the ppl really are wonderful. however, no coffee maker in the rooms, not super clean, they consistently ran out of towels and wash clothes, poorly maintained. sadly set to be demolished and it shows.
We took the train into Grand Central and this hotel is right next to it, a 30 second walk, so we were able to check in early (they also have the option of dropping off bags), then enjoy the city with the convenience of being right next to the 4,5,6 train. It was clean, the service was wonderful and for what we paid, we got a bigger room than I've ever stayed in when traveling to New York City.
