Located beautifully by the sea with great access! Staff is wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was available in plentiful supply and was good but not great.

I was really impressed with this all inclusive. Our room was big and the bed was perfect. There were 4 restaurants for dinner plus 3 different types of snack bars. The food was really good. It was small portions, but you can order as much as you want. The staff were all kind and friendly and helpful. We were asked 3 times to listen to the talk but never again. We enjoyed the excursions that were included. I would definitely come back again.

The hotel feels like it’s built inside of a rainforest area, peaceful and isolated, but we had access to the amenities of the Fiesta America, a traditional all inclusive hotel. This also included excursions every day. The guides were great, including Armando. Miguel, our server every day at the pool, was very attentive and friendly. Christian, in reception, was very responsive and helpful when our flight home was cancelled. The servers and hostesses were all friendly and attentive at all the restaurants. We had a very nice trip with our teenage kids and would love to come back.

It is a very small resort, which was nice. It is connected with the fiesta americana hotel so you get to use everything they have as well.. I was disappointed that there wasn't a layout map, given of the other hotel to know where to go for things. Disappointed that the restaurants weren't all available every night, but also we were told they were. So sad to plan for something, just to find out they weren't open. PERK was the excursions included with the Explorean, we were able to take in a snorkel trip, which was fun and had great guides.

This is a nice property that is beginning to age. We had a great time but a few of the amenities were not available and it was difficult to use coupons offered by the resort. Overall the excursion staff was great though and trips to snorkel and bike made it worthwhile.

Great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. The Explorean does not have TVs in the room (part of the living experience) but has solid wi-fii- throughout the Exlorean and Fiesta Americana resourt areas. Hospitality, food and service were great - all with way from the reception team to the various restaurant experiences ( Asian, Italian, Mexican, Cevecheria, and quick order foods). Highly recommend this all inclusive resort. Also, include with the Explorean package were great daily activities (snorkeling, bike ride to a lagun, tequila tasting, visit to beach park with live seal show, buggy drives around the island, and shopping.

We were not warned about the pool being closed prior to our stay. The construction was very noisy and went on during our entire stay. Our group consisted of four couples and no one was notified. We also had to move to the main hotel one night due to weather. They refused to serve alcohol which was included with our stay. We ended up going into town where other places were serving. They kept telling us it was the authorities but when we talked to other people at different resorts they didn’t experience this.any of our excursions were cancelled because of the weather. They told us they would schedule something different but never did. When I spoke with management about our multiple issues they refused to refund or credit us to come back when their amenities were available. We spent most of our time stuck there in our room.

One thing I dislike is, they never mention the pools on both hotels were in construction, and they never mentioned that there is no parking lot for rental cars

Normalmente no escribo reviews negativas, pero este hotel lo amerita y lo hago para evitarles el trago amargo a quien quiera visitarlo. Al salir del hotel la sensacion de que fuiste estafado tarda un tiempo en salir de tu cabeza. Primero al recibirte te comentan que la UNICA alberca del hotel está cerrada por remodelación. Se entiende que se necesita dar mantenimiento a las cosas, pero la gente viene a los hoteles a meterse a la alberca y si solo tienes una alberca en el hotel, lo más inteligente y sensato es mandar un correo y avisar para que el huesped sepa y tome su decision en ves de arruinar las vacaciones, nos notificaron eso en el check in. A las 8 am empieza la maquinaria con el ruido. La comida es buena, el servicio de los meseros bien, las recepcionistas con mucha falta de sentido común, nos hicieron pagar la primer noche a pesar de vender un hotel con alberca y no tenerla. No terminé mi estancia en el hotel, me tuve que cambiar. Nota : el hotel no tiene playa, necesitas cruzar una avenida y es mar con rocas , y los cuartos no tienen TV ni room service.

Beautiful! Service great. Included excursions so fun! Food at their restaurant so good! Loved having access to the Fiesta Americana for other restaurants, beach beds, beach club, entertainment. The room for King bed was so nice! View of "jungle" So clean. Bright. Good Air. Basket of banana muffins, juice and coffee very nice touch. Mini fridge filled daily with water, drinks, milky ways and chips. There was an umbrella and safe. Never saw our cleaning staff but they were great! Bring bug spray. Loved this place!!!

My family spent 6 nights at the Explorean and had a wonderful time. Staff were kind and helpful especially the manager, Jorge, the head cook, and our favorite tour guide, Julio. The excursions were really fun, especially snorkeling at El Cielo and Punta Sur. We loved the different food options- everything was delicious. We will definitely go back to the Explorean.
