Hotel was built in 1911 a residence, but was turned into a hotel and continually updated to meet modern code. Room was exceptional, with a view of two streets in a corner room. Beds were firm, decor was perfect, and all staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient.

This was my 5 stay at the Lucerne and I appreciate the service and location of the hotel. It's a great place in the UWS where I have friends and relatives and it feels like home at this point. I will stay there again next time I go to NY.

This is my second time at this property. It is a good option if staying on the UWS. The train station is on the same block which is very convenient. The staff is friendly. There are many great places to eat around the hotel including the one in the hotel. The room was clean. The beds could use an updated as the mattress would sink. The air conditioning unit was very loud and had to turn it off to sleep. I had a beautiful view. All in all recommend this property.

Nice spacious room and quiet. — but we had a Broken coffee maker and there were No directions for coffee maker No light on beverage bar Asked for coffee pods and brought cups instead Then brought wrong coffee - decaf! No help with where phone charges etc. are and not obvious.

Enjoyable NYC Theater and shopping experience

I love the location-it’s quiet and easy access to subway. There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The front desk was very responsive to a couple of requests and overall service was very good. Would definitely stay again,

Smallish hotel lacks a few things such as refrigerators in the room but lovely place, solid pleasant staff, good hotel restaurant. One of my favorite parts of NYC and transit rich. Really enjoyable week.
