This is a very well run property. Even though the structure is old it is clean, staff are all nice and breakfast is very well attended to.

Property needs updating and cleaned. Room was dirty smelled of smoke and mildew. Anyone can use the elevator thats located outside. People walk right by your window and no ample sight blockage as just sheer curtains to cover most of the window. You can easily see inside. Ended up only staying 1 night and lost money by going to another hotel for the rest of my stay. Kitchen was old and dirty.

Heater did not work until the night before departure. At the sink the hot water took 5 minutes to heat up. No housekeeping service on most days not unless you tell them. Ants on sink, tub, and nitestands in the evenings. Body wash was empty and didn’t replace it. Bathroom plastic cups didn’t replace any.

My son and I stayed 5 nights. We liked the hotel a lot. Very convenient location if you are going to Legoland. The Coaster (train) is only a 15 min walk. We used the Coaster to and from the airport and to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. The breakfast at the hotel was great! They have a different menu ev day which is really nice. The hot tub and pool were amazing- especially after long days at the parks! I wojld definitely stay here again!

Hotel room needs updating. When you first walk inside the room, it smells musty. Couch not comfortable and stiff. Fixtures are old, closet too small. Room not as nice pictured in ads.

Very nice property close to the beach. Staff was friendly! Only thing was it got steamy in the room when someone was showering but having the window open was a good option to air it out.

This hotel was the best hotel i have visited in California in the last 10 years of me visiting. The staff was excellent. The hotel was spotless. The hotel room was clean, smelled good and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was A plus. The only thing i did not like was the pancakes tasted as if they were pre-made. I am so glad that i chose this hotel and i will definitely stay here again next year November. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY STAY SO ACCOMMODATING!

It was a little dated, but the beds were comfortable and the room service was wonderful, resupplying all of our stuff. The toilet was running, so maybe I should’ve reported that. If you’re sensitive to noise, the freeway is right there. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was about a 3 1/2 star, but it was, OK food the waitress was super friendly

Great place

The last few years when I come out to Carlsbad to catch up with family and friends, I stay at the Best Western. It’s a great location, has breakfast included (hot at that) and good service. Also, I’m a recycler-so very impressed at how eco friendly they are! Very much recommend staying here!!
