Great stay despite not knowing about the $50 resort fee per night. If I had known, I would have stayed at a different hotel. Great accommodations if traveling with a child. Food at Cafe Pierre is excellent. Wish there were more food options aside from Denny’s and Starbucks around the corner but again the location is what it is. Would stay again but will book directly and not through a 3rd party like Expedia.

We spent a week here and had a great time. I would highly recommend staying at this property. Pros: - Hotel is updated, in great condition, in a relatively quiet area, and comfortable. We did not hear anyone in the adjoining rooms. - Pool is clean, lounge area is spacious with plenty of chairs both in the sun and shade. The cabanas are nice place to relax. Towel cabinet was always fully stocked. - "Beach Club" was very nice with timely shuttles, quick set up of umbrella and chairs, and on a beautiful beach. - On-site restaurant was enjoyable with an ample variety of items and no wait was ever encountered. Some reviews have complained of the price; however, San Juan tends to be more expensive and the prices at Cafe Pierre were in line with what we encountered elsewhere. - There is a 24 hour grocery store directly across the street. - Parking was convenient with unlimited in/out privileges. - Service was great with all employees being helpful and friendly. We requested a later checkout that was happily granted. Cons: - There are not many walkable dining options nearby so be prepared to for long walk or quick Uber ride. (Btw, it was very easy to get Uber rides the entire time we were here.)
Bathroom could have been cleaner as there was hair and dust in the corners. Bed was comfortable. Joanne in Cafe Pierre deserves a mention from us for her efficiency and helpfulness - thank you!

Double Tree Hilton Staff is friendly and accommodating about where to go and the eateries. I like the complimentary cookies that offer during check in. The property is clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, especially for travelers seeking a city hotel experience with accessibility to beaches and other traditional tourist attractions like beaches. Travelers can easily walk to great restaurants, services like dry cleaning, pharmacies, and retail, all within a five minute walk from the hotel. Hotel reception area is quite vehicle friendly and accessible.
The bathroom was very nice and I liked that a microwave was in the room.
