Close enough, but also far away enough to Duvall St
This was our third stay in Key West, but our first at Eden House. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we knew we made a mistake. We picked the 'Queen Island Room' for the price (~$350/night) and we were sorry. Like most people we looked at the pictures of the rooms which showed lots of natural lighting and colorful and current decor. In actuality, the room was a GLORIFIED CLOSET! It may be partially my fault for not noting the dimentions stated of 135 sq ft. When substracting the area of the queen bed, there was no room other than a two foot area around the bed to walk. No closet or dresser for keeping your clothes and luggage, so there is now less room. We had to coordinate our movements as to not bump into each other simply moving around the room. The night stand was a mini 9 inch square wobbly table. The bathroom had a commode and a shower, but no sink. The sink was placed in a cubby cut-out in the room 10 feet away from the bathroom. Everything was very dated, from the paint to the tile to the lighting. We only stayed one night and stayed elsewhere. The rest of the property was nothing to write home about - average at best. The resturant they say they have is SUPER expensive - overpriced for what they serve. Forget parking - there are about 8 spots for the entire property and never one available and walking 7.5 blocks to Duval is not manageable for some people in the heat. An overall bad experience and felt duped - no refunds either, so we wasted ~$2K!
Clean, great location
The property was gorgeous and I loved the amenities. Workers were constantly cleaning and fixing up! and very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't have was a T.V.
Quaint property close to everything in Key West.
I liked the history behind the property and it’s location. The room I stayed in could use an update.
Great location. Clean rooms.
Wonderfully landscaped. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Within a 15 minute walk to Duval street and 20 minutes to Mallory Square. Free bus loop stop at corner. Nice happy hour at pool bar.
Our room was clean and staff was OK. Location is good, near the ferry station. The room was minuscule, never had a smaller one. Double bad, a queen wouldn't fit. AC absurdly loud. A fountain outside our room gave the impression that it was raining all the time. Noise from guests passing by and upstairs also contributed to a far from good night. No breakfast. I'm glad we only spent a night there, wouldn't want to stay any longer. Too expensive for what it provides.
Nice property. Expect an older crowd. We also assumed that with the location there would be a strong lgbt presence and there was not. Good for a straight older relaxing time. :)
Not much, only thing would be the bar hours are very short, and the dining is closed on Mondays
Great property. Great location
Convenient location close to the ferry to Dry Tortugas. Good complimentary coffee.
It was dirty. Gross actually. We ended up checking out and getting another hotel room about an hour after we checked in.
Pool area was lovely and clean! Everything in great working order. Rooms very small but manageable. Good location!
Brry unique property. Off beaten path, but not to far from all action
