Leaving New York
New York is one of the busiest cities in the United States. Travelers can fly to Seattle from to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia or Newark Liberty Airport. If you are headed to JFK, the AirTrain will get you there for $7.25. The NYC Airporter will take you to LaGuardia for $12.75, and the fare to Newark Liberty Airport aboard AirTrain is about $12.50. JFK has five parking garages where travelers can leave a vehicle. Parking closet to the terminal will cost you $33 per day. The economy lot charges $18 for the first day and $6 per each additional eight-hour period. JFK also has a food court with numerous dining options, including Sbarro, McDonald's, New York Hotdog & Coffee and Wok & Roll.
If you are flying out of LaGuardia, you can park at one of the daily lots or the economy lot. The charge for the economy lot is $33 for the first and second day, and $6 per each additional 8-hour period. The daily lots charge up to $33 per day. While all four terminals offer food options, the best selection can be found at Terminal B. Au Bon Pain, Dunkin' Donuts and Healthy Gourmet are among the terminal's dining establishments.
Newark Liberty Airport is located in nearby Newark, New Jersey. Parking is available in several lots and can cost up to $33 per day. Lot P6 is the least expensive option, with daily rates up to $18. After the first day, the cost is $6 for each additional eight-hour period. All three terminals offer a good selection of dining options. Currito Cantina, Subway, Famous Famiglia, Guinness Pub and Market Fresh are some of the choices.
Seattle, Washington
Seattle is located in the northwestern corner of the United States. The region was settled by the Duwamish Indians and was not explored by Americans until 1792. In the early years, the city experienced slow growth and didn't see a boom until 1897, when gold-seekers passed through the area. Winters see the most precipitation, and the city receives about 34 inches of annual rainfall. With ample sunshine and little precipitation, the summer is an excellent time to visit.
