Flights to Mexico City depart from Miami International Airport, which is the main airport in Miami, Florida. It serves over 40 airlines, with American Airlines, Avianca, Delta and U.S. Airways being among those that offer flights to Mexico City. The airport is 5 miles from downtown Miami, and the airport offers several parking facilities if you want to drive to the airport and leave your car there during your trip. There is a park-and-ride facility near the airport that offers a free airport shuttle, and parking there costs $8 per day. Parking in any of the three covered parking facilities near each terminal costs $17 per day, and valet parking costs $30 per day. A new Metrorail rapid transit station has opened at the airport, so you can reach it directly by Metrorail, and then take a free shuttle to your departure terminal.
