The room doors are thin and or really not sealed so people walking by your room can hear what you say or do.. The staff was great for service but had a hard time with the snow removal around patio doors which can be dangerous and when asking for a late check out you are told that you have to ask for that the morning off and not the night or week before. Well late check out would be to sleep in, not to wake up early the day off to see if maybe it would be possible. Buy your TP, the hotel decided to cut budget on room amenities, you get one ply toilet paper / tissues, the soap is chemically based and no shaving cream. Even with that the staff managed to make it a great stay, was quick to replace towels and other amenities when needed.

We had a main floor one bed room, it was nice, the service was nice, changing to the suite was easy and convenient but for double the price you still get the basic one ply toilet paper. I would just recommend to go buy some soft ones for $4 at the Dollarama, also would take a small shovel, the hotel is great for clearing the parking lot but unfortunately the clearance of the patio door is not so good and we asked if or when it was going to be done the answer was “we usually only do it in the morning”. The staff was great enough to send someone although they didn’t really do much and had to use the car broom to properly clear the entrance it was nice that they sent someone. Both rooms we had were beside the maid’s and ice room, the doors are not really thick so everyone talking or making noises is very much heard, felt like we did not have much privacy as if we hear the staff talking at all times they must be hearing what we say or do as well.. It was an okay experience, the pool was full of kids until closing time so if I could recommend one thing would be at least a one hour adults only or stay open until 12 instead of 10. The looks are as shown and is a beautiful hotel to stay at, easy access to everything, convenient parking, nice staff, the king suite is much nicer than a regular room but sheets, toiletries, towels and toilet paper stays the same. The heat was stupid you are not allowed to have it lower than 19°c and the water is stuck at 39°c for the shower in the suite.

When checking in, the staff were fielding calls from the phone and not helping guests standing in front of them. A large line of people formed as I waited to check in and it probably took 20 minutes to get checked in. The staff were lovely when I did check in, but it seemed outrageous to deal with people on the phone instead of those standing there. Another patron commented on it. When we finally got checked in, there was a large blood spot on the wall in our room, as well as some other blood spots. It felt very unclean and, to be frank, pretty creepy. When I went back downstairs to complain, they gave us a new suite right away. That room was much cleaner; however there was still a stick on finger nail belonging to someone else on top of one of the beds. Overall it was a bad experience and we will not stay there again.
