Not a good experiece

Reservations went well. Staff were pleasant. The room had the usual wear and tear. Was very clean. Room on 5th floor had musty smell like it had not been used in a while. A bit of Lysol and the ac on high circulating fresh air took care of that. I woke about 0830 and the power was out. Couldnt see your hand in front of your face in bathroom so no shower. Elevator did not work. I had both back and hip surgery in the last 6 months. I had a lot of luggage and brunch plans with friends i had not seen for years. So here i go down 5 flights of stairs with 4 pieces of luggge. By the time i got out of there my back was killing me and I swore I would never stay at another one. WHY do you not have a generator, if for nothing else but the elevator? Do you have any sort of disaster plan in place? What would have happened if i had been wheelchair bound like i was this fall. Might i add, the last 3 flights of stairs going down the emergency stairs were PITCH BLACK! Never again. Had the staff not been so pleasant, it would have been 1 star! My next trip will be Holiday Inn Express!

Directly off I-85, super clean, comfortable, convenient to a ton of food options, decent breakfast, good value for the money. We stayed here on Christmas Day. The Front Desk was manned by Lesa and she was amazing—attentive, friendly and on top of it. Also she was there for what seemed like 24 hours straight and she managed to appear bright eyed, alert and very friendly. Someone please give this lady a raise and a Christmas bonus.
