When you’re on vacation, all you want is local accommodation that’s convenient and comfortable, and that’s just what you’ll get when you book a motel room. 

Motels give you more for less
You’ll love the extra conveniences many budget hotels offer, including cable TV and free Wi-Fi. If you’re traveling with children, look for a motel that includes a swimming pool, which can offer your kids hours of fun. No kids? Reserve a motel with a pool anyway! It’s a great way to cool off in summer or relax after a busy day. Many motels also include a small gym or even on-site laundry facilities. If that sounds more like a boutique hotel, you’re not wrong. Motels can provide many of the same amenities, just at a cheaper price. 

If you plan on staying in a place for several weeks or months, you may want to consider booking an extended-stay motel. Typically, these long-term motels include a kitchenette and small refrigerator in the motel room, which can save you a lot on food costs. Don’t spend all your dough on your motel when you could save it for souvenirs, or drinks at the local hot spots. You’ll be living like a local in no time.
