We stayed in the king room on the first floor and it was a delight. Our giant windows faced the street and the room was nice and warm. The bathroom was spotless, the ceilings were high and though there was tape around the air conditioner, it didn't take away from this space. The people at the front desk we checked in and out with were darling and the entire time we felt taken care of. They even left us a note and some chocolates upon telling them my partner and I were heading into the city together for the first time. They give you a set of keys to let yourself into the building and your room and it was nice being independent and streamlining the process. It's absolutely worth the price and we'll be visiting here again. (also, go to Chuch Street Espresso around the corner for your morning coffee, it was delicious and friendly, opens at 7am)

Sound-proofing non-existent. Work being done for a few hours in another unit (hammering, banging, furniture moving, machine noise). Called 2x re lack of hot water. Very hard bed. I had to forfeit plans and money by going elsewhere for second night.

Booked to stay for Taylor Swift concert. As a solo, female traveler it was close to the TTC, and many other things. Made me feel like a local for a couple days Comfortable bed, updated private washroom, 3 windows with blackout curtains. Perfect little spot, would recommended

Dirty slum

Gross. Don’t unzip matteresd protection to I inspect condition- it was disgusting. Would have left if I could. Front desk concierge is a joke. Gal was offended I asked that a food delivery for me be dropped and said she would never do it again. Whole space smelled like Raid pesticide. I’m pretty sure soon was infested. Don’t be fooled by the name and exterior pics. This is not a quaint Victorian B&B. It’s an unkept slum, a shame for a property with such potential. Any ‘renovations’ claimed would have been maybe in the 80s by a handy man that didn’t know what they were doing. Worst experience ever in my life.

Perfect Guesthouse Stay

I loved my stay here! The room had all anyone could need! Coffee maker, kettle, microwave, comfy bed, little tv, desk space... very convenient to lots of places to eat yet on a lovely quiet street... I checked in after hours and the experience was easy and straightforward. All the staff i dealt with were lovely. The building is historic which i loved. Highly recommend a stay here!

Lovely stay, appreciated the early check-in! The heat was on too high in my room and only centrally controlled, so I had to have the AC going my entire stay. Great location, great price!

Lovely old building turned into a cozy small hotel with very nicely appointed rooms. We will definitely stay there again. Very comfortable, no frills, good price.
