This is a much more run down property than the pictures make it seem. It’s in a pretty rough neighborhood downtown, near a homeless encampment, with shady people hanging around the front doors all the time. The rooms are clean but the beds have seen better days and they are generally shabby.

This looks like an old apartment building with no upgrades. It was a great value the night we stayed, so that made up for the quality of the property. We didn't have any issues on our stay. I wouldn't recommend the property for families. It's close to the action and the staff was great. Locks are old fashioned keys, which could easily be copied, meaning the property may not always be secure. Read other reviews for concerns that we didn't experience.

Truthfully it’s not in the best of neighborhoods. However it was a 20min walk to Roger’s Ctr , Cn tower & Ripleys Aquarium. Close to grocerie & clothing stores. Nice walk to pubs, restaurants & dessert places. Overall was a nice experience with my kids. We didn’t feel threatened by ppl along the property, just if you’re not used to that atmosphere you may feel u easy. The property itself could use a bit of renovations, but for a quick stay for concerts etc it was perfect!

It's an old hotel. They give out keys, not card keys, not a big deal, but you cant keep keys in your wallet. The AC was covered in about 2 inches of dust. It wasn't great, but it got the job done, at a much cheaper price than surrounding hotels. For a quick weekend, it worked. For a longer stay, maybe look elsewhere.

Dorm conversion.
Decent basic accommodation in what appears to be a uni dorm conversion. Good access to surrounding areas. A little sketchy area immediately around the building but its inner city so one can’t expect much more for the price. Although the price is a little steep for this place.

Not sure why there were permanent residents at this hotel? Some obviously have mental issues. We felt uncomfortable.

Great budget hotel.
Hotel has been renovated since we last stayed here. As budget hotels go it is very good- convenient to Queen st, Bathurst and Dundas to the north. Plenty of local eateries, but you also get a kitchen in your room if you want to cook!

Front desk staff was not overly friendly and bordering on rude. Extra charges were not disclosed prior to booking. The location wasn't bad but also didn't exactly feel safe. Honestly, the front desk staff is the biggest issue

The area and “tenants” are very sketchy. I didn’t feel safe outside of my locked room. The room was Motel-grade.
