Upon arriving at the hotel the entire front entrance was destroyed. Had to enter through a side entrance. Once arrived at the front desk. The attendant was friendly and very quickly assigned me to a room. Even though I wasn't able to get a king bed as I had reserved I was given a room with two beds. No biggie since I was alone. The room had a working fridge and microwave. The room was relatively clean. There were some holes in the sheets along with some visible stains...But everything was covered along with a mattress topper. The bed wasn't the usual comfortable I've come to expect from hotels but it was usable. A bit squeaky/creaky.
The bathroom was acceptable. It was clean for the most part. There were some random hair strands around in there and the room. I did see one random roach of which I killed. Also there were a lot of random black mold spots on the ceilings.
My room did not have an iron nor a door stopper. The area outside didn't seem the safest and there was a HUGE sign at the entrance that states that the hotel isn't responsible for damage to cars. I, nor any other vehicles had any theft/damage in the morning, thankfully.
The TV worked fine and the hot water and water pressure were good along with clean linens/towels.
Having said all of that. This was not the absolute worst hotel experience I've had but far from the best. It was fine to stay just for a quick night and move on with my road trip.
