Stinky room
We’re traveling a long distance so decided to stop at the Hilton for the night to get some sleep. We got in around midnight. Check in wasn’t the best experience. We received our keys and went up to our room and for some reason the room smelled like BO, so I called the operator and was told to return the keys. So we went back to the front desk where the receptionist seemed kind of rude. No apologies whatsoever. She did give us a new room which was better. The room was alright but nothing special. I will not be staying at a Hilton property again.

Room and hotel were very nice, but the AC was set to 60 and the room never cooled enough to be comfortable. Sat in the lobby where it was freezing to cool off. Toilet seat was loose in our room and needed a new shower head because there was zero water pressure and lime scale on the jets.

Room was loud, but nice
The room itself was very nice, but it was SO loud. I could hear every word my neighbors were saying, and they talked and laughed long into the night, so I got very little sleep. It also woke me up whenever they used their bathroom, as it was quite loud in my room. I also got what I assume is a wake-up call at about 6:40 in the morning that I did NOT order. That was distressing. When I picked up, it continued ringing so it seemed like an automated call. The shower pressure was pretty low. Other than that, the rooms were nice and comfortable.

The property was across the street from Rupp Arena, which was very convenient. The sheets were very clean as was the bathroom. However, the room smelled very musty, like a damp basement. It was rather overwhelming. It was room 1125.

Mold
The rooms we had had a terrible mold/disinfect smell. We asked to change rooms. They did accommodate however the smell was the same. The manager appeared to be nose blind. From the hallway to the room you could clearly smell the difference. Because I’m highly allergic to mold I was sick the entire stay. Didn’t get better until several days after we left. We would have moved hotels but there wasn’t a room available in a 25 mile radius due to a national cheerleading competition An effort was made but it didn’t change the smell. Hilton used to stand for quality but it is no better than a low rate run of the mill motel. Very disappointed

July TBT tournament stay
I was in town for the TBT tournament. My stay started out bad due to the Microsoft outage. After 3 hours of waiting, I was able to check into my room. There was a lot of renovations going on the main level so it was noisy. They got rid of the escalator for steps and they had two elevators down. The rest of the stay was great. Had great weather for my stay. I ate at hotel restaurant for breakfast. They had a great spread for their buffet. It was my first stay at this hotel since 2019 so they have had a few renovations since. Look like my room had new furniture.

Everything was pretty up to par aside from the comforter on both queen beds in my most recent stay. I was horrified to find that they were both disgustingly brown underneath in what seemed to be a large accumulation of body grime stain. It was pretty bad. Took photos. Aside from that, the stay was as expected. My son and I have a tradition of staying in Hilton hotels. He loves the experience and it’s become one of sentimental value between us.
