Cozy getaway

We came to New Hamshire area to see the fall foliage. The Hotel and Gunstock resort close by were great and both have beautiful properties. Driving north to the mountains or doing Bike train or train rides. Reserve early cause it gets packed and sold out quick.

The property was being renovated (not actively while we were there). The view of lake and backyard space was beautiful. The common area/lobby was great space with games and coffee machine in morning. The room was decorated nicely. For downsides, the bed was not very comfortable and some water damage in bathroom ceiling. But the reasonable price most likely accounted for it.

Get away weekend to take in a concert which was nearby, hotel provided directions to the venue-views on the deck and from the lobby were incredible. Will definitely be back in the future.

It was a nice little place, but you're not going to get a "hotel" experience, if that's what you're looking for. It's in a beautiful location, and the ability to go outside and sit by the firepits (gas lit with a timer, so very easy to turn on) is wonderful. On the flip side, the rooms are a little small, there's no real service like a hotel, and if someone is staying there with kids, it can be loud, as the walls don't seem to stop sound very well. Overall a very reasonably priced place to stay near Gunstock.

My fiancé and I stayed there recently from Massachusetts to see a show at the New Hampshire pavilion. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Was out in the wrong room with the wrong bed size. The place is very loud in the sense that you can hear everything inside and out. HVAC did not work and kept me up all night. Heard a scratching at the door sound all night and did not sleep a wink. Requested a late checkout and was denied. Was treated rudely by other guests (questioning whether I had a room there). No fan in the bathroom, poor linens, poor shades (did not block light). Overall very poor and should be refunded.

Rooms are very nice. Lobby and coffee area also very nice. The exterior on the road side could use some work. But they are in the process. Wish they had vent fans in the bathroom.
