Property is well located and staff are amazing. Property is old/run down but the sheets/towels are clean. We stayed on a Friday/Saturday night and there were special dinners with entertainment outside providing for a more authentic experience. The entertainment and music lasted until 5am so light sleepers should be aware.

Very limited types of food, it need better signs to let the guests know the daily activities. A coffee makes was good to have it in the room but there were no coffee, sugar etc.

Hotel check in and restaurants not good for so many many people residing at the hotel. Hotel needs more restaurants and better service around the pool area and better cleanliness around the pool area. Lines for elevator- restaurants and pool service at the bar in the sun and heat!!

Stuck in a time warp
Upon arriving we were give a room that was musty and had water dripping onto the floor from AC. They cam and fixed it and left all the debris on floor. The gave us a better room. New room had hot water sometimes and AC would work good sometimes. ice makers didn't work anywhere. There are missing tiles everywhere on the floor in the hallways. The hotel needs a facelift. I have been going to Ixtapa for 30 years and it seems like it is stuck in a time warp from the 80's.

The room was spacious and housekeeping did a nice job every day. Most of the staff was friendly. Food was good in the buffet area bit nothing expectacular. However the specialty restaurant for dinner was really good.

The staff were friendly and great service. The problem is that the bars do not open until 11. So even if you want something to drink like a soda or water at the beach, you’d have to go to the buffet or wait. The hotel is fairly dated and the pools weren’t very clear. However being Spring Break it was very busy. The food was decent with one midweek outside bbq with excellent food. The town and shops are right across the street for good location. They could improve on having at least one bar open earlier and maybe something for snacks between meals.
