The Aspen Valley Hideaway - A Perfect Hub to Hiking and Tourist Attractions!

Retreat to “The Aspen Valley Hideaway” where you’ll feel secluded, yet at home, in this comfortable and well-supplied two-bedroom, one-bath cabin, nestled on a hillside in beautiful Rainbow Valley, just minutes from spectacular outdoor activities, Mueller State Park, and Cripple Creek. Forty-five minutes from Colorado Springs, you can enjoy a day of tourist attractions, shopping and everything the city offers, to return to starry night skies, peace and quiet where noise and light pollution are minimal. The cabin is cozy and relaxing as it hosts warm log interior, a gas “wood” stove, a hot tub, an extra-private patio area, and more. It’s our pleasure to have you consider staying at The Hideaway!

Cabin Description

Main Bedroom: King Bed
Second Bedroom: Two Twin Beds
(All beds purchased new March 2021.)
Living Room: Futon couch that converts to a bed.

When you enter you'll immediately notice the cathedral ceilings lined with classically stained, beetle-kill pine. This clean cabin carries a rustic warmth with its log interior, heated tile, soft carpets, and decorative antiques of an era gone by. The place is welcoming.

A well-equipped kitchen will make meal preparations convenient and you can also grill on the infrared BBQ. In the morning, enjoy using a traditional tea pot for brewing tea or, if you prefer, a fantastic cup of coffee with the fresh coffee beans we provide. Enjoy your meal or your morning coffee on the secluded deck to the sound and sights of hummingbirds, woodpeckers and songbirds, or you might appreciate exploring the short trail through the Aspens that winds up the hill behind the cabin. It will lead you to a bench and more mountain views for quiet contemplation.

After a day of outdoor adventures or sight-seeing return and soak in the hot tub and relax for the evening. The gas-fueled, “wood” stove makes the place cozy on chilly nights and a supply of board games and DVD’s are available for your enjoyment. When it’s time to sleep you’ll appreciate the goose and duck down comforters. To ensure your stay is convenient, shower essentials are supplied as well as laundry detergent for the washer and dryer. You'll even find a humidifier and mini-space heater to use if you want.

Relaxing Family Vacation
We had a great time! The cabin was perfect—very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of wildlife to watch and fun places to explore. We loved having a fenced in yard for our youngest boy. We also enjoyed playing board games while sitting in front of the wood stove during a thunderstorm. We all had fun and hope to visit again.

Cozy cabin
As soon as we got out of our vehicle we noticed the smell of pine and how cute the cabin was. Our family of 4 had plenty of space. We cooked breakfast and supper at the cabin. We enjoyed the back deck and hot tub nightly. The hummingbirds were constant visitors and we loved it! We also enjoyed the little hike up to the bench. The cabin is peaceful we slept with the windows open and blinds up. It was a central location for us with most of our destinations around 45 minutes away. Cindy and Tom truly want you to enjoy your stay and have thought of everything. Cindy was quick to answer our questions. We highly recommend this cabin.

Perfect as usual
This was our 4th stay at the cabin. The first two times, was just my wife and me. The last two were with our child (turned two this time). Cindy and Tim have been the easiest hosts I’ve ever dealt with. They have offered baby gates when they found out we were coming with a baby. The cabin was peaceful, clean, AND entertaining for a child. Walks down the driveway were easy, and plenty of play time on the deck. There was even a short hike up the hill behind the cabin to a bench. We used the hot tub to ease our achey muscles after long car rides and hikes, and enjoyed playing some board games another night. I cannot recommend this place enough. For first timers—this IS a neighborhood, but you definitely feel secluded while there, and there’s plenty of breathing room and privacy. It’s about a perfect blend of desires for people lime my wife, who might be new to the cabin experience, and people like me, who would enjoy spending time in a cabin miles away from the next. In any event, this should be at the top of your list. Just don’t book when my family wants to go!

Charming, Serene Cabin
My grandson wanted to stay in a cabin in the woods and this property gave us exactly what he wanted..It’s a bit off the beaten path, but if you want peace and serenity, this cabin is perfect and very close to Cripple Creek. We even saw bighorn sheep on our scenic drive to Cripple Creek. The cabin is well maintained, quaint and very comfortable. The outdoor deck looks over a very nice fenced yard with lots of beautiful Aspens up the hill in the woods. The hot tub was a special treat. Cindy is a wonderful host and quick to communicate. It is a beautiful setting but I’m sure even more spectacular when the aspens change.

Long weekend get away
Four of us decided to visit Colorado for a long weekend vacation. We found this cabin on VRBO and booked it! We had a lovely time here. We did a lot of sight seeing during our trip and enjoyed the peace and quiet when we came back to the cabin. Communication with the property owners couldn't have been better and the house had everything we could have needed. this was a great experience for us.

Clean and Cozy
This property was very clean. It had everything we needed. Cindy was very prompt with any issues or requests that we had during our stay. It had the best views and just the right amount of seclusion yet close enough to town. What this cabin had that others did not was the hot tub, the wood burning stove, full kitchen and outdoor area that was to die for. My husband said that it was better than the pictures even. We hope to be back again.

Gorgeous cabin in the mountains with a romantic setting
This property was absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway on our wedding anniversary. It was so quiet and tranquil with the most beautiful scenery around every turn. We particularly loved the hot tub and the gas fireplace which were perfect for cold nights. And watching the birds off the back porch was a lot of fun. The hosts were thoughtful and very responsive to communication. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
