Over all it was a pathetic experience. On arrival the lifts were not working and we were given a suite on the top floor, so we had to drag our bags through a maze of never ending corridors and stairs. We were asked to give card details in case we damage something!!! Never ever this has happened before in any hotel ! And finally we had booked for two nights after the first night the next morning while showering the water got cut off !! My wife and I had to leave the hotel as they had no availability of other rooms despite claiming to own 9 hotels! My wife was offered to use the pool shower to finish taking a shower!! It was just absolutely outrageous experience, in the end after a lot of argumant and exchange of words we were able to negotiate a full refund and checked into a different hotel.

Terrible never again
Went to this hotel 22 years ago and it was lovely four star hotel. Since then it is more of a cheap guest house than hotel. The doors don’t soft close so everyone has to slam their doors. The floors are really creaky and old. The bed was average but such a small to was crazy as a bigger tv could have been better. Also the breakfast was so so nothing to write home about. Won’t be staying there again and if you want cheap stay there but if you want decent don’t bother. Never again I now know why I don’t stay at many 3 star hotels anymore. Sadly didn’t get much sleep or peace and quiet. The rooms look very out dated and also my chair where the desk is was all scratched up and worn. You get 2 take away cups, 4 sugars. Had one sip of the coffee and spilled the rest as the coffee was horrible and tasted foul. Bathroom is a weird set up as toilet roll is way out of reach from the toilet. Shower is small so kept hitting my elbows whilst showering and also water temperature control was limited so not much adjustments can be made. The room was next to water boiler so that would be the 1st thing to wake you up. Never again would I stay here even if they were the cheapest hotel in the area. Been to Bournemouth several times and this hotel was the biggest disappointment but made the trip good overall. Will be looking at a better hotel next time.

It started off very well. We got there early on the Friday and a very friendly young man on reception told us we could leave the car there and pay parking when we checked in. The bed was a fight. To stay on the bed. It kept dragging me to the centre where the mattress was worn out I guess. Saturday morning the fried breakfast was tepid at best. The egg was probably warmer when the chicken laid it. So not very good. No fruit either. We left a note. ( supplied in the room) requesting room be serviced. It didn’t happen. The guy on reception checked the camera and confirmed I had left the sign up. Then said she hadn’t done it. Offered me clean towels and condiments. Pretty rubbish really. Sunday breakfast was warmer but still pretty poor. Oh there was fruit. One more thing, not the hotels fault but if you’re a light sleeper this isn’t the place for you. There’s some sort of student club opposite and they’re open til 4am. VERY noisy.

Not great, but good value
Hotel is obviously in process of changing ownership, and unfortunately new owners have not yet acquired a licence for the bar, so only non alcoholic drinks available. The hotel is good value for the rate charged, £64/5 per room per night. At present we would not stay again, but hopefully in the future when new owners have improved things a little, and obtained bar licence, we will stay again, the location is superb.

Trouville break at Bournemouth
The hotel is very ' tired' and could do with some decorating. The beds & pillows were very uncomfortable and lumpy. The shower hose had to be fixed on first day. Breakfast could do with some fresh items - fruit would be good, rather fatty English breakfast which was not served hot. Perhaps some information in the rooms about what they had available and some tourist information in the empty lobby would be useful. It is a bit like Fawlty Towers. But the staff where very friendly and helpful.
