I love this building and wanted to share the history and architecture with my husband. This was not the first time that I've stayed at this property, but it was the worst and the last. My check-in and check-out service was lackadaisical at best, and rude at worst. We found a dirty coffee cup and paper placement in our room which had us questioning the true cleanliness of the entire room. The restaurants were short-staffed. One bartender, while kind, put me in an awkward and potentially unsafe position with other patrons at the bar. Kudos to to our breakfast server, Alexis, who calmly apologized for the 45 minute wait for a breakfast my husband refused to eat or pay for.

The front desk staff were really great. The building is pretty amazing. The room was large, appeared to be recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the walls between the rooms allow a lot of sound to come through.

Lovely historic building with modern updated comfy rooms, it’s the best of both worlds. The food at Trax is very good and Maria’s a great, attentive bartender. Easy to get to from the Highway and convenient to all points of interest. Five stars!
