Meh. It was a cheap hotel for a trip to Carowinds. The beds are firmer than I prefer. The hotel had a strange smell to it. Reminds me of cleaners used in nursing homes. At first I thought maybe someone had an accident in the lobby that had recently been cleaned up, but I could still smell it in the hallway on the 3rd floor. I couldn’t smell it in the room though. The room had peeling drywall in the ceiling above the window and in the bathroom. The TV remote barely worked and didn’t work properly when it functioned at all. The breakfast was fine. Nothing to write home about, but good enough for a quick bite before heading to the park. There were waffle makers, eggs, sausage and biscuits as well as some pastries, oatmeal packets and cold cereal.

This hotel is terrible. Maybe other rooms are good but ours was really bad. The chairs were so dirty. The paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom, and not just a little, like the entire ceiling was coming down. We did not shower here. After driving for 13 hrs we checked the bed which was ok, slept and then got out of there as fast as we could. Didn’t eat breakfast there because the hotel was disgusting. We ate at the Starbucks across the street. Hotels.com really needs to remove this from their website.
