Right across from the east train station and convenient options of restaurant and bars in the vicinity

Excellent location ! Excellent room and breakfast ! The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be returning to stay the night before returning to the USA. Ann Decker

The location is great, just in front of the Gare de l'Est. The staff was very friendly.

Slept comfortably once I was provided with an adapter in order to get power to my CPAP machine. I find it hard to believe Holiday Inn as a world renown hotel does not provide for CPAP users. I should not have to miss a nights sleep with my prosthetic device because although the notes were provided about his patron need to use CPAP machine for sleep, the hotel was not prepared. They did not have distilled water available nor did they offer an adapter knowing very well about the difference in USA and European electrical outlets. When I initially got into the room, I plugged the CPAP machine in the only electrical outlet that appear to be compatible due to amount of prongs & it came on , so I didn't worry. Close to midnight when I was already exhausted & jetlagged I realized the machine stayed on briefly then stop functioning suddenly. This cough have caused me a medical emergency. ThankGod it didn't. I would like to Holiday inn to upgrade their policies with regard to the type of prosthetic device & whilst doing so inquire with ADA about others they need to be prepared to have operational for patrons.

Stayed there December 2016. Arrived on train from Strasbourg and hotel is directly across street from the Gare de l'Est rail/metro station. Staff friendly and helpful. Check in took only a few minutes. We requested and received a room in the back for quite rather than a view. Room was clean and bright exactly as in one of their photos.Average size by European standards, smallish by American standards, but certainly adequate. Limited English language programming on the TV as expected. Bathroom was small but adequate. Heavy people may have trouble entering the showere and shorter people may feel like a child on the high commode. Queen bed was comfortable. Small safe and refridge present. Breakfast was excellent. There is a pub on one side of the hotel with a New York City theme and happy hour specials and typical bar food (East Side Cafe) and a more traditional restaurant serving french cuisine on the other side (Cafe de 'Est).Metro entrances flank to hotel entrance only a few steps from the door. Another larger metro railway station (Gare du Nord) is only a few blocks or one metro stop away (less than 5 minutes).Bicycle rental station (very inexpensive way to see the tourist sites as it is only 1,70 euro for the day per bike provided you undock and dock the bike at the plentiful stations within 30 minutes. We rode to Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph and back to the hotel never exceeding the 30 minutes on any leg. Check out the Velib site and use the app(s))

Like most Parisian hotels, the hotel rooms were small but very clean and updated. You have to pay for tv (only has a handfull of free channels, mostly news). And located in front of a very useful metro station with trains to main attractions.

Great place in Paris. Close to metro Clean rooms. Friendly staff.
