Average. The good: private beach, decent vegetarian and fish choices at the buffet, no security issues. Not so good: buffets can be very crowded with no avail sitting. Food areas can be congested and hard to navigate. Food goes fast off the shelves and they will run out of better things eventually, especially better cut meats, etc. Most of the staff seems unhappy, tired, indifferent or annoyed, and only few folks we met were somewhat friendly. Houskeeping was good - tips involved... Nightly entertainment is very fake and supeficial; we have seen much much better in most of the places we stayed so don't get your hopes too high. We booked 2 dinners at the Italian and Stakehouse but ddd not go - we spent time at the beach watching the sunset instead - so no comments on that. Overall it's OK if you set your expectations mid-low.

The location was good but service was horrible. Everyday we had issues with not getting towels, pool towels run out, no hot water, no hot tub, no elevator on the property, lots of bug bites. Food was ok. It was not worth the price we paid for. Riu was a big disappointment.

I had amazing time at this property the food was amazing the room was very clean. Only thing I can say if it wasn’t for all the amazing time I had some of the stuff would mess up the great experience with there bad attitude.

Very clean and staff was friendly and always helpful.All areas were beautiful. Food was great and plenty of seating at beach and pool. They offer a catamaran cruise from their beach. The negatives: no elevators and toilet needed to be fixed.
