Friendly staff. Check-in and out was very easy. They even upgraded my room to an executive suite, free of charge. I was only there for one night, so I didn't get to experience too much of the Leonardo, but I could tell that it was clean and well-organized. Accessible via airport shuttle; you do have to pay, though, and it can take a while to get to the airport from the hotel, but the shuttle runs fairly frequently. I tried to order room service but the call wouldn't go through, so I ended up eating in the restaurant, and was impressed with the fast service. Prices are expectedly high, but I was happy to see vegan options. Wi-fi is free and doesn't require a password. I did find it difficult to charge my devices, as there were no appropriate outlets.

Leonardo is simply convenient. The reception staff were attentive and friendly. However, there is no way it can justify the price. It’s seriously worn, despite being refurbished relatively recently, and there are the usual barflys on their way to southern Spain drunk and disorderly at the bar and smoking outside the hotel (which is unfortunate if you have been given a room on the ground floor). The rooms are tired and sparse due to the heavy throughput and business model of sheer volume over experience of stay. I can’t fault the proximity to LHR, but over 4* customer reviews? C’mon people tell it like it is for nearly £100 / night!!!!

This is all about convenience. Close to Heathrow and accessible via public transport. Inside, the place is very well set out, very sound proof and the staff are friendly. The evening menu is okay - better than a motorway service station and on a par with an above average high-street chain resto. The main drawback is pedestrian access to the front door. The neighbourhood is essentially high speed dual carriage way, car parking and runway. Even getting to a bus stop can be tricky as none of the road layouts take pedestrian traffic into consideration.
