Excellent location and value. Located just off exit 33 of Route 4 with easy access to downtown Lakeland, the ballpark, and shopping/ dining options. Easy to overlook the worn hallway carpets when the simple breakfast buffet was good and our king mattress was perfect, not too soft and just firm enough for a good night’s sleep. Our room had lots of counter space by the bathroom sink and plenty of space for luggage atop the large bureau. Unlike many new chain hotels, La Quinta’s efficient HVAC unit was quiet and did not blow hot or cool air directly over the bed. The door to the toilet and tub/shower room faced away from the bedroom so as not to disturb anyone asleep. Friendly staff and good unlimited coffee by the front desk. We loved our 3 night visit to Lakeland and will definitely stay at this La Quinta again.

Property has a good location. Room 114 is too close to the maintenance room so alot of the hotel staff's conversation can be heard. Also, the closing of the maintenance doors are very audible. Room 114 also needs to be painted as the walls were dirty and the room was very stuffy. Overall, my stay was about a C-

Don't Plan On Getting A Good Night's Sleep.
Thankfully our trip was only a one night stay. The hotel in itself was average and the room seemed clean but we were unaware our room would be approximately 50 yards from Interstate 4, one of the busiest highways in Florida. The traffic noise starting at approximately 4 AM became quite intolerable with down shifting semi trucks and applying the breaks. The hotel made no effort to soundproof the rooms with heavier widows or any kind of sound dampening measures. My wife and I were not able to get any from 4 AM on. The hotel could at least offer ear plugs to make the sound tolerable. If you go to this hotel be sure to demand a room not facing I 4.
