My only complaint is I have been there twice within a year to two years and the upstairs bar is still not complete. You would like to go up there have a drink and I have to walk around. I don’t know what’s going on, but I will think next time, whether to stay there because of the bar, the rooftop bar. It has taken too long to get fixed. What’s going on?
All ratings would have been perfect if apparently the housekeeping staff had not lied to the front desk staff about the time it would take to get our room ready. Apparently said they were finishing up and room would be ready in “few minutes”. Sat in lobby over 90 minutes. Just tell the truth, we can handle that!
Perfectly situated to great dining, Pier 23, the Galveston Cruise Terminal, and of course, the Strand.
Wonderful!
Tremont really is the best place to stay in Galveston. Good location to the strand and great staff.
What a beautiful hotel in historic downtown. Wonderful staff, great view of the boats and cruise ship from our window.
Historical relevance
I loved everything, they cater to your every need.
This hotel was a very nice addition to my Galveston stay. It is close to shopping and restaurants. I could walk everywhere I needed to go. It is about 12 minutes from the pier and the beach, which was fine by me because that area was PACKED. Highly recommend!
We loved The Tremont! We want to go back just to stay at this hotel. Staff was wonderful and hotel is just beautiful. Great rooftop bar too!
Safe was broken upon check in. Great location.

Thank you for your feedback Beverly. I certainly understand your desire for the Rooftop Bar to be open so we can all enjoy the lovely view and weather. Unfortunately when dealing with an older, historic building there are often unforeseen issues that present themselves when constructing a new structure on the roof. We are excited and look forward to its completion and hope you will come back to see us once it is done.
