A piece of heaven on earth. Hurricane Ian left it’s mark, and the area is working hard to recover. Rented bikes and toured the island, amazing. Sea Shells are the stars of the show! Helpful staff, roomy, clean and beautiful apartment. Fully stocked kitchen is a plus.
Lovely large property with a clean, quiet beach. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Great restaurant and bar on the property. It was just what we needed for a brief getaway from our responsibilities. We will be back.

The open areas leading to beach very pretty. Beach chairs a little weathered but very usable. It would be helpful to have a staff member bring beach chairs out for guests and have beach towels more available. There have been some updates to the resort which are lovely.
We stayed in Mathews Lodge and it was perfect. The mattress was the most comfortable I had in 30 years of traveling. The bathroom had 2 sinks, was well lighted, had a walk-in, tiled shower, and all were inviting and perfectly maintained. The lights all have dimmers, which add to the ambience.The appliances looked brand new, the furniture was spotless and comfortable. The view from the screened porch is lovely, and very private. We have booked our return for next year!
Great place to stay on Sanibel! Right on the beach and has a very nice pool.

Terrific location right on the beach with a sunrise and sunset view. The resort is comprised of several buildings and cottages. and features a heated pool, bbqs, shuffle board, horseshoes, bikes for rent, and more. An upscale restaurant is located right on the resort. Our room had a screened in lanai with beach views, microwave, mini fridge, and free wifi. Sign up for the free shell talk. A naturalist comes in from the National Shell Museum to discuss the many types of shells available right on the beach. The island is not very large so this hotel is within 10 minutes of plenty of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.

I’ve been to the Island Inn now once a year for the past 4-years. It’s always extraordinary yet “Island Comfortable”. The only thing that has changed to date is they’re not able to offer the breakfast buffett...... Perhaps they could do as other hotels/resorts do by providing a “breakfast bag to-go” with a danish/muffin, an apple and a cup of coffee “to go”..... 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!!
We liked out stay there a year ago, so came back in September 2020. Comfort, location, staff are still very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not working even for breakfast. And the weather left to desire better...
I am having trouble changing dates, which I paid for travel protection and have email changing the date over 1 week prior. The owners of hotel will not acknowledge our change and I have to fight with orbitz to get date changed.

I love this place! I’ve stayed here twice and both times did not want to leave. Island Inn is not the newest nor fanciest joint but it is without question perfectly located, charming, well-appointed and one of my favorite getaway spots. Do not hesitate to book at Island Inn- it’s awesome!💚🐚
