Very clean and nice place
The property itself is on a beach that is almost unwalkable throughout most of the day. That was a disappointment. The food was above average, if not excellent, at some of the restaurants. In particular, the Italian restaurant with our server, Aron, was superb. (However the check-in process with the hostess was ridiculous. The only restaurant where you had to wait 15 minutes to be told there was a 30-minute wait.) Fuego restaurant is excellent as is the Thai. The mexican dinner was awful with a very limited menu. The breakfast buffet was good, not great, but Mario made the experience feel special! Upon arrival and after check-in, the tour desk (which is really the timeshare-like membership sales staff) approached us. We did not know this property had a "caste system" with the different color wristbands telling the staff if you were high enough to get their service. If you had a black wristband on, you were given all access and the best seats for dining. The timeshare conversation became pushy and the woman would not stop. I finally got up and walked away. It was just after we arrived and she was disrespectful of what we said. Be sure to read the fine line - they say $299 is the price but the fine print says you have to pay the additional $$ to get the discounted rate if you do a membership. Daniel on the beach was OUTSTANDING and every day he made sure we were happy with our chairs and umbrella's. I you want sun all day, this is not the hotel for you.

My wife and I really enjoyed the fact that it was a couples only resort. Nothing against kids as we have two of our own, but it was nice to be just the two of us. Plus you have access to the other Palace resorts and so if you feel like checking out those you are able to. It's a little of a quieter resort and so if you are looking more for a party atmosphere this is probably not the right choice. But like I mentioned before you have access to other resorts that may be a little more festive in the evenings if that's your preference. There was nothing that we disliked.
Beautiful property friendly staff. However they did not help me in anyway to dive they wanted me catch a bus with all my dive gear to dive instead of picking me up to dive . They didn’t help me find other dive operators only promoting their specific company so if you are a diver this is not the place for you. the vacation planner there was not helpful I’ve dove for 15 years and have never been treated like this
