Wonderful place to stay when visiting the Sand Dunes. Awesome sleeping arrangements. Clean and safe. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Rustic Rook!!!!!!
Staying out on the sandy sagebrush plain looking out to the dunes, miles away, was awesome! Unique environment, clean, well maintained tents, friendly canines in lobby, helpful advice, ability to grill—all great! Thank you!
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff on sight. Lovely experience.

Great experience
Very nice set up. We stayed in one of the estate tents so we had our own shower and bathroom. Bed was extremely comfy! Wish I would have had another pillow though. Used the camp stove for heat at night and it was great. Didn't need any additional wood. Used our grill for dinner and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast burritos and coffee! Keep in mind it is camping and there were critters and bugs outside, but if you keep you food etc outside, you will not be bothered by them in your tent at night. Was a peaceful night and we were able to get plenty of sleep.

Not your usual stay!
Very friendly and helpful. Bathhouse is not for the faint of heart. Met a variety of people from around the world while making S’mores. We enjoyed “glamping.”
Great spot for glamping. No AC, but wood burning stove is great for cold temps. Restrooms ate very convenient & clean. Smores every evening. Great location. Would definitely stay again!

Worst night
This property advertises itself as "all the best things about camping without the mess, allowing you to maintain a high level of comfort and relaxation." There was nothing comfortable or relaxing about this place.
First problem was the mosquitoes. Even while standing in line inside the lobby I was getting eaten alive by them. They were even worse in and around our tent.
We were promised a wagon to transport our things to our tent, but none were available. The person checking us in just kind of shrugged. Over an hour later we still had no wagon until one of the ladies saw we were being ignored and helped us out.
The showers are in a shared portable setup (think fancy port-a-potty buildings). There is no hot water. The shower gives you about 20 seconds of ice cold water before turning off automatically.
There is a wood burning stove inside the tent and they provide firewood and a single starter. However it wasn't nearly enough. We ran out of wood halfway through the night with temps in the 40s. Smoke from the smoldering remains infiltrated our tent to the point we had to leave the tent for our own health.
We had a separate kids tent, but it has no heat and was therefore unusable on what turned out to be a very cold night.
There is no fence, wild animals were howling nearby at night.
We had booked for 2 nights but left after the first night, so we ended up spending over $700 for one night in a cold bug-infested tent.
