Holiday to Washington

Family of 7 stayed comfortably. Its not huge, but we all had enough room. Everyone had a place to sleep. The neighborhood was quiet. Amenities were good.

Location

Excellent location, very close to Reagan Airport and Arlington cemetery. Worked out very well for our adult family of 5. Owner was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommended this home.

Not what it seemed.

Little things added up to make this just an OK place to stay for the long weekend. …2 cockroaches in the basement, the outdoor deck that looked so amazing in the photos was a mess and uninviting to spend time in, the basement bedroom with bed essentially on floor with no bedside lights. We spent the majority of each day in the city so it wasn’t a huge problem but definitely not as cozy as photos listed on the website.

Big Family Friendly

This home was the perfect size for our big family of 7, plus a couple of grandparents. It was a great location. Super close to downtown DC, but far enough away to relax on the back patio.

Convenient location

Easy check in, convenient location for an event at the pentagon. Unit could use some TLC, floors need a good scrubbing, the beds were comfy and towels were large and clean.

Perfect place to get right into the city

This house was great! Less than a 5 min walk to the bus stop and then a quick ride to the metro! We were able to spend all our days exploring DC and the house was stocked with plenty of blankets, pillows,towels, kitchen utensils, ect!

Great weekend in D.C. Area

The property was very clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Check-in was easy, and the location was very convenient for visiting our daughter who lives in Arlington, and visiting the Smithsonian Museums. Thank you!

Great base for museum-ing

This vacation rental is conveniently located near the freeway and has its own parking. So, it was an easy-to-use base for exploring the Smithsonians. While close to expressways, the windows are good quality and if closed road noise is minimal while sleeping. Would recommend to others and stay again, myself.

Girl Scout Trip

The location of the property to DC was great, there is a bus stop at the entrance of the neighborhood that will bring you the Pentagon metro to get into DC. The house worked well for our group, we had 3 adults and 5 girls. The house has a small Keurig and pods available. I had to call to request more towels, there were only 4 in the house when we said we were a party of 8 in the reservation. The stove also needs to be replaced, we didn't use it but there is a really large crack across one of the burners.

Everything we needed

Perfect for am extended stay with kitchen and laundry and plenty of space for our family. Appreciated the extra toiletries. Plenty of towels. Nice to have a parking space right out front. The only drawback is yes, you'll absolutely need a car as it's not within walking distance of a metro. So we would drive a few minutes to one and park every morning. Washington DC roads are a pain and the gps directions lagged about 30 seconds. Because of all the crazy round abouts and turns, we used GPS every single time. My husband and I logged about 6 hours each of Google maps time (some for figuring out the metro). For future guests: We parked near the Pentagon City station in an underground Parking garage next to the Target and a Harris Teeter (Fry's Food sister store), perfect for grabbing groceries at the end of the day. $20 a day or less if hourly. From there, you head down through the mall parking across the street and through the mall food court (you can walk through even at night after close, thank goodness). The Pentagon City station connects to the mall.

Car Convenient in Arlington, VA

Overall fine but a few details need attention. Bath stall/tub need rubber mats to prevent slipping; downstairs bed needs padding on the massive legs to prevent broken toes; overall, many fewer cushions/throw pillows needed; location is great if guests plan to use a car to go everywhere (as we did).
